Sandi Carmichael
Sandi retired from public school education in June of 2004 having been employed by both the Halifax Regional School Board and the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board. During her thirty-five year career, Sandi worked as a classroom teacher, resource teacher and principal of Port Williams Elementary School. A respected educational leader, Sandi was active in a variety of leadership activities including the establishment of AVRSB's Leadership Development Program. Since retirement she has supported new principals as part of AVRSB's Mentoring Program, supervised and taught student teachers at Acadia University and has been a provincial leader in the Health Promoting Schools Program.
Tony StewartÂ
Tony retired from public school education in June 2003 after a thirty-one year career. For twenty-six years he held a number of administration positions in the Annapolis Valley including: Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Kings County District School Board; Principal, Port Williams Elementary School; Principal, Central Kings Rural High School; and Principal, Wolfville School. During his career, Tony participated in various leadership activiries including the establishment of the AVRSB's Leadership Development Program. Since retirement, Tony has continued to be active in education. In addition to his work for NSELC, Tony conducted a review of the Program and Service Department for the AVRSB, facilitated focus groups for the Department of Education and supervised and taught student teachers at Acadia University.
